Priced for a quick sale, this 1968 Daimler V8 250 comes with a rare optioned manual with overdrive (perhaps no more than 700 were produced in this spec).
MOT’d until 9 January 2025.
It has been subjected to “sympathetic improvements”, which include:
1. Daimler wire wheels (5 original steel wheels with matching colour ways are also included)
2. A sports spats for the rear wings (the original larger spats are included)
3. Stainless steel exhaust
4. Electronic ignition and upgraded starter (the original starter is also included, ready for refurbishment)
5. Seatbelts in front and back (front belts retain the Daimler branded clasps)
6. Mota Lita steering wheel (the original lacquered wheel is also included)
7. Brand new, unused fuel pump and filter
8. Brand new unused heater motor
The car itself presents extremely well while still retaining its “worn and patina’d” feel. The engine and gearbox are very smooth and without issue and the drive is fantastic - the car presents a smooth, luxurious ride whether it is driving through town or on winding A-roads.
It even comes with the optional read-window defrost as well as a complete (or nearly complete) tool kit. It and also comes with a period correct radio (not installed but ready for refurbishment). Currently it has installed a Classic Cars digital Bluetooth radio making it easy to connect 21st century tech with original 1960s style.
The car is in very good condition, starts perfectly and has been carefully maintained. Fully MOT'd (although not required, it has been MOT'd every year since I have owned it) and is ready to use and drive.
Tax and ULEZ exempt, it is a great and reliable car that is easy to use, wherever you choose to take it.

For 10 years, I have owned and maintained this car and have enjoyed every minute - there are few cars out there that could bring so may smiles and waves from passerby. As beautiful as it is, it has been a joy to own and drive.
With the manual gearbox, you really feel connected to and appreciate the silky smooth Daimler V8 - you can see why it is so suitable as a city cruiser or luxurious yet lively drive in the countryside.
Now I feel that it is someone else's chance to be caretaker of this wonderful car.
