Welcome to my Mercedes-Benz SLK Roadster 2011 (61 Plate) AMG Sport Edition 125. The Model Code for this generation of SLK is R172. This fantastic car is presented in Schwartz Black.
The engine is a 1. 8, 4 cylinder which I have found allows for very reasonable insurance costs. The supercharger’s aid the engine in propelling the car using its 180 break horse power to get from 0-60 in 6. 5 seconds. On finding a nice smooth road the car really encourages switching from the 7G-Tronic Plus automatic gearbox, into manual mode via flappy paddles and rowing through the gears to add that extra engagement when fancied. In terms of economy the car returned high 40’s on a recent journey from East Sussex to Buckinghamshire a few weeks back mostly which was 95% motorway but is very economical around town too.
Fuelling, I have only ever used premium unleaded in the car, I know the regular E5 fuel is completely acceptable to use but it was my preference as it was the previous owners too.
Airscarf - if you are in the market for an SLK you must get an example with the air scarf system (this example does!) as it is exceptional! Being able to drop the roof in those colder mornings and later evenings is such a joy! The heating system essentially warms your neck and shoulders in such a way you feel next to no windchill when you have the roof down, assisted by the original removable trim insert which resides between the passenger and drivers head rest.

Front and Rear parking sensors, which prove incredibly useful, they’re audible and visible on a display.
The bodywork, I have hand washed the car with only Meguires products weekly after weekend use, the metallic black paint shines well and the fleck in the paint pops still. There are very small and light age related marks which always show worse on black cars but nothing the eye is drawn to immediately without a very close up inspection.
Boot Space, you must remember the roof does sit within the boot space once folded. Naturally you would imagine the boot space to therefore be little and compromised, however the shallow and well designed cut outs in the boot floor, allows for two small suitcases and a duffel bag to fit perfectly.
The Alloys, the four alloys are all original diamond cut 18” wheels (the rims are A172 401 27 02 + 8. 5J x 18H2ET36 and A172 401 26 02 + 7. 5J x 18H2ET42), which really glisten in the sun and are the best of all OEM options in my opinion! The wheels do have light signs of sub-surface oxidisation around the centre caps, these can be refurbished/ re-diamond cut if you wanted concourse finish. Each corner is wrapped in 2, 000 miles old - late 2021 date Michelin Pilot Sport 4’s, which grip incredibly well, anyone in the know regarding tire options knows these are premium tires which RRP at £1000+ fitted and balanced.
The car has a full service history which the majority has been Mercedes Benz Main Dealership. I can provide more detail upon request. Not enough space/ characters to provide an itemised breakdown on the text box!
This car has NOT been written off, have outstanding finance or had from what I can tell any bodywork repairs (aside from some small stone chips I have filled in with an OEM touch up paint). I would happily and actively encourage anyone contemplating viewing to HPI check my car. On purchasing I used two different companies one being the RAC which came back with a clear and clean history. It took me 4 months to find this example and you will be able to see why when looking for a comparative model, as there are very few available on the market!

My reason for sale, if you have made it this far the reason I will be parting with my much loved summer weekend car is relocation into London. Whilst the car is ULEZ compatible I will be looking to downsize to a smaller city car.
