Here I have for sale is my 1991 Volkswagen Jetta. I bought this in 2020 as a project from being off the road almost 8ish years and got it back up to a mechanically sound state. My plan was to restore it but I just can’t find the time for it alongside my Uni work and would rather it be looked after by someone else instead of it just sitting.
It would make the perfect starter project; it just needs tidying up as interior/ paint could do with a refresh. It's a complete car with all original parts, except for all the things I’ve repaired/ replaced/ modified and can back that up with a stack of invoices, along with it being serviced on time, every time. No corners have been cut in repairing this as I believe in doing a proper job the first time round.
It's a 1. 8(90bhp, without the cat from factory) on 63k miles, which I’ve put less than a thousand miles on since I bought it and has an automatic that shifts perfectly without any issues.
- Refurbed 32/ 34 DMTL Weber carburettor (+7bhp) conversion with manual choke, never struggles to start.
- Full stainless stell exhaust system - no droning, nice deep sound.
- Lowered on coilovers but not so much it's impractical.
- Upgraded speakers.
- Upgraded headunit.
- I bought brand new Japan racing alloys for it with Nankang tyres that have only done a few hundred miles.
- No rot/ rust and dry stored since I purchased.
- Aftermarket alarm, but I don’t personally use it as it can be quite sensitive.
- Reverse parking sensors.
I'm not sure what it's worth but I've put a few thousand into it. So, looking for offers around 3. 7k but is negotiable.
