Bultaco model 85 alpina , introduced in 1972 alongside the Sherpa T which it shared many details with so almost every part is still available new . The alpina differed only by having a larger capacity fuel tank plush larger seat and more road friendlier gearbox making it a fantastic green laner , trail bike or a great B road bike . This bike was rebuilt completely around 10 yrs ago and has had a pampered life since , last used for a tour of the Lake District in October where it ran perfect . Matching numbers machine and one of the very last of the model 85s with v5c in my name and on sorn at present The fuel tank has been lined to cope with modern ethanol fuels however i always run it on super unleaded and drain the tank when not being used for any length of time .
