80" Series 1 1952 (early 53 model) Land rover in parts, with V5.
registration.
Genuine reason for sale, I have 1948 and a 1949 80" projects but we are losing the industrial premises as it will be housing. we have to downsize in to my garage at home.
This is an advanced project:
Chassis - No rust/ rot, a lick of paint could help?
Engine - Fully professionally rebuild 2L Siamese, new pistons/ bearings/ crank regrind etc. It is the correct engine to the V5
Gearbox - unrestored but sweet and free (I don't think it needs restoration?)
Bulkhead - Copy of aluminium type, could do with a new one actually (£2. 5k) but we can fully restore the existing one if preferred?
Half shafts and diff - present and in good condition.
Wings/ bonnet/ tub/ tail gate/ seat boxAnyone with and other panels - all present and in good condition.
Radiator and mandrel - present and in good condition.
Dash/ steering wheel - present and in good condition
Windscreen - present and in good condition.
I can't guarantee everything is there but, it has to be close to 100% and all the restoration done thus far is of the best quality.
Shame I can't put it together but I have to finish the 48/ 49 chassis and get them out of the unit in 3 months.
I would also take a non-aggressive attitude and help in any way I can even after sale. it is important to sat friends during the project. This has to be a low risk/ relatively simple project with good potential for profit or low cost ownership. If you buy a fully finished LR 80" you won't know what you are buying, this way you are sure of the finished unit!
