Description
Collectors quality, genuine low mileage, and very rare in this condition, totally rust-free Golf GTI MKIII that still retains the original supplying dealer number plates and window stickers. Original service book showing 19 up-to-date service stamps to 70, 598 miles. Original sales data order sheet and invoice for £14, 563. 96, VW book pack, original V5, a huge folder of service and parts invoices from 1993 to date, all previous MOTs, tax discs, and original spare keys. Only 2 previous owners from new and having been extremely well maintained regardless of cost throughout its life makes this MKIII GTI one of the very best in the country and a joy to drive.
A very genuine and totally unmolested all original example of the near impossible to find in this condition MKIII GTI. And with the MKIII's quickly becoming the rarest of Golf GTI models (most were modified, lowered, rusted away, scrapped or crashed), reflected with prices on the increase, makes for a solid investment..
Prior to my purchase 2 years ago the car was dry stored and rarely used for some 10 years and, was and still is, in exceptional rust-free condition (not a weld or patch anywhere) with all door shuts and panels in perfect factory alignment. The sports interior can only be described as looking and feeling near new throughout. Fitted factory options include an electric tilt/ slide sunroof, electric windows, central locking, genuine factory VW BBS alloy wheels, alarm/ immobiliser with auto window and roof closure, and original stereo present. This being a 93 model year makes her the last in the line of the more desirable, reliable, and easier-to-maintain and diagnose non-ECU models.
Much money spent changing out for many new quality parts during the recent recommissioning, including, to name but a few, new Goodyear Efficient Grip tyres all round, a new full clutch kit, brake calipers, new battery, bushes and hoses replaced where required. I also had the complete gear change linkages and bushing assembly replaced throughout for a smooth and positive shift, a common issue on the Golf and a tricky job. MOT with no advisories is a testament to its condition. Recent full service with a new quality cambelt and tensioner fitted. A recent new water pump fitted as the original thermostat was slow to heat the interior and replacing both with new with the pump already out seemed prudent.
Just passed new MOT with ease to 07/ 08/ 2024 and had a fresh service, thus the car is ready to be enjoyed, used as a daily driver or dry stored as an investment, and wants for nothing.
Professional Inspection is welcome. Sensible offers invited or would consider an exchange for an interesting RHD/ LHD classic or even a worth while project with a value either way up to 100k.
