Superb driver, properly fast and very smooth
Solid with a few marks, big file of work done.
108k miles. MoT to January 24. ULEZ exempt this year.
Early chrome bumper A2 model in White Gold over plum velour interior
Automatic, limited-slip diff, sunroof, usual Monza refinements including electric windows, intermittent wipers, headlight wipers etc etc
Full mechanical restoration
- All new brakes
- All new rear suspension
- Adjustable Gaz dampers all round
- New stainless steel exhaust, nice and quiet
- New E10-friendly fuel lines
- Lots of other bits; new expansion tank, horn push, ignition barrel etc
- Full service including LSD and gearbox oils, spark plugs
Bodywork:
Very solid and rust-proofed underneath
Few blisters of rust but nothing serious
Ceramic coated paintwork, still has a great shine to it
Parking dent in offside front wing, may sort before sale
Overall a nice example of the rare Opel Monza. There are a few niggles still left to sort, including worn door pins and new boot struts, and it could be made perfect with a respray but it still shines, it’s solid and drives so well that you could just leave as is and enjoy. It’s just been to Le Mans and back and was the perfect cruiser.
Difficult to price with so few about but I’m looking for around £6000. Selling to focus on my old camper and motorbike projects…
