Here we have one of only 104 Gilbern Estates that were made, it was supplied in component form to the Smith family of Emsworth, they built the car up at which time it was finished in metallic gold. Mike Smith was in fact a founder member of the Gilbern Owners Club being member No. 15.
The club purchased the vehicle from his estate after he died in September 2021. It is basically totally complete with the exception of a spare wheel and an exhaust system.
The rear window and chrome surround are with the car but not currently fitted, amazingly it still features the correct Lucas 4 screw rear lights. It is a total restoration project, most parts are available from the owners club. We have a current V5C in the clubs name and the original handbook and early servicing history.
