I need to sell one of my Amazons to free up some funds to finish the rebuild of my Volvo Laplander. I've had my other one, a red 1966 4 door saloon since 2015, so it's staying, and this lovely old workhorse is going. Just as Volvo announce they're stopping selling estates in the UK - this was the first estate model you could buy here. This is my fourth Amazon, and my first estate - they are much rarer than the saloons.
Comes with loads of receipts and paperwork to cover the work it's had done in recent years;
Resprayed in original dark blue in 2020
Structurally solid underneath, and it has all been treated and rustproofed
Running gear, suspension bushes, balljoints, hubs etc. were all renewed as required
Brakes have been overhauled with new parts throughout including goodridge braided lines
Gaz adjustable shocks fitted to all four corners
Fuel tank restored with new filler pipe
New bushes in steering box, uprated steering damper and new tie rods
Refurbished wheels with 4x brand new tyres fitted last month
It's ready to enjoy, with some scope to improve the interior and brightwork in the future.
If I was keeping it I would renew the webbing in the seats, restore the door cards with new backing and hunt for some better chrome bumper sections - that would finish it off nicely.
It comes with some spares, front seat cushions, some mechanical parts, trim parts etc.

It's hugely practical with the split tailgate, the drop down numberplate, and folding seats. The steering wheel is my favourite part of these earlier Amazons, with the huge chrome horn ring.
It's a charming old thing, equally at home as a daily driven workhorse or something to cherish.
