Beautiful CX Prestige Auto, Series 1. This is a very rare car and is one of only 5 left in the UK. Due to the purchase of a car I have been looking for I have to sadly let it go as I have no space to keep the CX, and am therefore offering it at a very sensible price.
Black paintwork with tan leather upholstery. Bodywork is in very good condition with only a few very small areas that only the fussiest of owners would repaint. Leather upholstery is as new, with no rips , seams parted or damage of any description. Headliner is also very good with no sagging.
No sunroof on this car, which is an added bonus, as all CX cars with sunroof had terminal corrosion issues.
I bought this car in the UK in 2016, drove it home to Ireland from London without any issues. In my ownership I have replaced the spheres, installed a new fuel pump and fuel pipes and have serviced the car regularly. The car has been kept in a dehumidified garage , run up regularly and also driven regularly until 2021. Only 300 miles since last MOT before I imported it to Ireland. The car is now MOT exempt,
I had it on a 30 mile twice in the last 3 weeks without any issue, except a bit of creaking on the rear suspension from lack of use, which is a common Citroen trait, and disappears after a few runs. The tan leather interior is in fabulous condition, as is the headliner. Comes with the footrests in the rear, plus a substantial kit of spares that I have procured over the years, Also included is a set of CX alloys which have been soda blasted and primed , ready for paint.
The car drives beautifully, with auto box and DIRAVI steering functioning perfectly. No mechanical issues of any sort on this car.
As it is now 40 years old it is mot and tax exempt in the UK.
The CX prestige is now a highly sought after car. A previous Prestige owned by me in similar condition (YUC295T ) was advertised on car and classic last year for £29000 and sold fairly quickly.
Due to lack of space I am offering this car at a bargain price. Car has some limited available history and last MOT which it passed without issue. Comes with manuals, including the prestige supplement.
