One of the first UK RHD 150 BHP CP Pi launch cars. Heritage cert, build date 21/ 03/ 69. CP25870 O, matching engine number. Overdrive & wires from factory. Reg 02/ 04/ 69 at Douglas Garage Northampton. Full body off rebuild 1990's with photos and circa 10K miles since with continuous maintenance history and circa £35K bills.
Last keeper 13 years, I purchased early '22 and have been enjoying improving. About £1K parts just invested on improving the tatty interior with new dash, recovered H frame, new kidney panels (Skinners kit) and subtle speakers + lots of detail inc. working 8 track, new decals, correct black dash screws etc. Now a lovely place to be!
New correct dual choke cable, Distributor Doctor rotor arm, points, wires etc. etc.
An older professional restoration by Bristol Classic Cars. Chrome wires, working A-type overdrive on 2nd, 3rd & top. Black Motolita, K & N filters, alloy petrol tank, bosch pump, stainless sports exhaust, Triumphtune alloy rocker cover, Spax conversion, leather faced seats, mohair hood, full tonneau.
Gaps much much better than most!
'69 model year only non reclining seats, body colour windscreen surround, gear knob. TR250 magnetic fuel cap. Now fitted with Lucas spot & fog lights as per the '69 road test cars, that were also white with wires and O/ D.
Did the Silverstone classic last year and just back from this year. Drove really well (round trip from Cheltenham) with no issues.
Lovely usable car, but body not touched for decade + so some cosmetics. I would/ well paint the sides at some point, but to me doesn't warrant doing yet.
I enjoy getting good cars that have been under used to this level, so in a way have had my fun, but happy to hold on to her and keep improving, or to sell so I can play with the next one.
This is not a £25K car at £18k, please no forensic inspections, trainspotters etc. If you want a rare early UK 6 that can be enjoyed as is, and further improved this could be for you. Good news if you read this far, I am happy with 17k, only at 18k after saying please no offers or P/ X and priced to sell, then being asked if we can do a deal. So keep it simple, 18k but you can have a deal at 17k! many thanks.
