Siddeley Special Six Sports saloon known worldwide in the ASOC circles as Delilah.
Delilah started life as one of a pair of cars on the AS show stand at Olympia in 1934 and she still carries her white show car steering wheel to this day. The following year she served as a factory experimental car (Demonstrator) Having had circa 5 owners since new she is in original and patinated condition which is rare to find in these days of over restoration. There is a large folder of invoices and history with the car and she draws many a favourable comment and look wherever she travels. She has been featured on her own postcard as well as had an article in the national classic press in the 1980's. Her last trip out a few weeks ago was to the ASOC national where she covered just under 100 mile round trip without any problems or hesitation. The car was bought directly from the last owners nephew as a private sale approximately five years ago. Make no mistake this car will keep with modern traffic should you choose to do so and is reputed to be capable of around the "ton"
Acceleration is brisk for a car of its size and age and due to its colossal torque gearchanges can be minimal if you so wish.
I have lost my storage facility and have no option to allow someone else to enjoy this very imposing and impressive prewar motorcar.
Therefore a genuine caring and sympathetic new owner is sought above all else for this charming piece of motoring history. When I first knew of Delilah many years ago I thought she was a must have motor and in time was lucky enough to buy her when she became available. Her history as a show car and having low ownership along with being renown in the club all stacked up for me and I will miss owning her sorely. It can not be denied she looks magnificent with a very imposing stance, I love the way she looks and how she will just barrel along all day at A road speeds with ample power left should it be required. Sensible offers will be considered once the car has been viewed.
