Rare car in UK, bodily very good, rust free body, very straight panels without dents or creases. Last owner did respray approx 5 years ago, we have pictures of car in various stages a of preparation for any prospective buyer to see. Car done virtually no miles since.... he used it to go to a few shows on weekends. Car runs a very reliable Ford V6 engine similar to old 3. 0 Capri in UK but bigger. Very easy to maintain, very cheap parts. Power steering works fine, manual windows all roll up and down. Digital dash works fine. Finished in a lovely pale metallic blue, not its original colour which was 'Doom dark blue' which the last owner couldnt live with.... This is a great looking 80's retro Miami Vice era car. Great entry to US car ownership. Interior is all very good for its age, carpets are all original and good but slightly faded from age but undamaged and still look very presentable. Seats are cloth and again very good for age as are rear seats. Could do with glove box handle replaced .... Head lining is all good. Under bonnet could do with a little more detailing but its all clean .... Tyres are excellent with plenty of tread and it has a lovely old set of period chrome spoke wheel trims fitted. We have replaced both head gaskets and the heater matrix, gearbox oil and filter. Recent mot we had done which noted a piece of rust on sill..... on inspection by us afterwards it is not rust but a plastic trim that sits up against the sill which has a hole in it and i can see why the tester mistook it for part of the sill... so both sills are good.... Brakes are good.... Tools and spare wheel are with the car. Period radio fitted but button missing(easily replaced) Al in all a lovely looking car. Car drives well, very smooth and suspension is lovely and comfortable over bumps. We have just replaced a sealed beam headlight unit from famous US supplier and cost was an incredible £6. 70p plus shipping..... There are great online clubs and forums for these Cougars. They are based on the Ford Mustang floor pan..... We are open to PX, deal , Swap, Car, Bike , Trike , Boat , Classic TRY ME !!As mentioned above this is a cheap way into American car ownership. Very basic engineering . So you can maintain it easily with limited mechanical knowledge. I have not seen another in UK. We are members of multiple FB US car sites/ forums and the Cougar Owners Club is a great source of info....
