1957 Mercury Turnpike Cruiser
I've seen something I'd really like, so selling my 1957 Mercury Turnpike Cruiser. Extremely rare car, only a hand full in the UK.
I'm the first UK registered keeper. I've driven it up and down the country to a few shows over the last few years and used it for wedding hire. Gets a tonne of attention everywhere it goes. Dry stored throughout my ownership.
3 speed auto, 368 V8 engine. Power brakes, power steering. Runs and drives very well. I have Lincoln continental front spindles and disc brakes ready to convert the front. Power rear window.
One small area of rust in the rear inner arch, but that's the only bit on the car. Few paint chips here and there, but it's still extremely presentable.
Some history, lots of receipts. Featured in Classic American magazine last year. Lots of original mercury documentation for the Turnpike Cruiser from the time. Some spares with the vehicle.
Based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Looking for £14, 500, but happy to negotiate on price. Open to a PX with a 60s American pickup - ideally stock.
