1956 Alfa Giulietta Sprint - Mille Miglia Eligible.

Very rare, being an original and totally rust free (apart from some surface rust) 1st Series column shift Giulietta. It has remarkably never been modified, or updated in anyway.

The car was purchased by the family about a decade ago, with the intension of restoring it for use in the Mille Miglia. But the restoration was never started, apart from removing the interior and engine / gearbox.

If you are looking at this advert, you will be aware that there are very few column shift Giulietta Sprints left, with many converted to floor shift over the years. Hence this is one of the few survivors and possibly the very last unrestored one out there. It is also certainly the last which hasn't rusted away with gaping holes in the floors sills and wings! As you can see from the photos, the floors, sills, wings, and boot-floor are amazingly solid, with NO rust holes.

I am not sure what the value is, but I do know that restored examples of early column shift Sprints are selling easily for well over GBP 100k. There is currently a restored 1956 Sprint for EUR140k, and I'm not sure its going to cost EUR100k to restore mine! So does that make the value of mine above EUR40k? I have put down a nominal £20k, but as it might be worth a lot more I might take my time before agreeing a sale given how special the opportunity is. So please submit offers as you see the value.

The Sprint is only being sold as the house has been sold and I am moving overseas - see my advert for my SS project, being sold for the same reason.

Please note that this a project and whilst it comes with the interior, correct engine / gearbox, etc. I cannot guarantee that every last nut and bolt is there - this is a PROJECT and is being sold as such. But all the critical parts are there, especially the column shift/ change mechanism and the impossible to find column shift 4 speed gearbox.

This is a "complete" and most importantly rust free genuine early 1956 column shift Sprint - very different from the typical 101-Series rust-bucket being advertised.

I would prefer for prospective buyers to view the car in person, but I am also happy to show it on a video call, share more photos, etc. I am happy to oversee shipping from the UK if it goes abroad / to the EU. But all shipping costs will be for the buyers account.

I will not be using the new Car & Classic website feature of accepting offers via the website. I will also not accept a transaction via the website either, due to the high fees charged. Hence any purchase must be done directly with me. Email me on , or call me on the number listed in the advert details.
