Please find for sale a 1976 Saab 96 V4 with excellent bodywork and is generally rust free. It has 6 previous keepers and purchased the car privately.
We’ve owned the car a year but due to family circumstances we’ve decided to sell the car to another enthusiast. In the last year we’ve added a new triple core radiator, thermostat, given it a thorough water flush and cleanse and changed the oil (also flushing this system).
It’s running fine with the engine running smoothly and gets weekly usage. It does have a couple of small niggles (fuel drains back to the tank too quickly if not started for several days and water coolant irregular flow via expansion tank) but nothing major that you wouldn’t expect of a car of this age.
It did have a MOT which expired on the 12th September but as it’s a classic car vehicle this is no longer required.
There will also be the standard box of bits in the boot including a brand-new water pump that we purchased but did not fit.
Also included is an original Saab service manual and a Haynes manual. It’s got a mass of paperwork with it for work done, both before it was dry stored for 19 years between 1997 – 2016 and after. Since 2016 it has only done approx. 6500 miles.
Post 2016 the previous owner fitted a new Jetex exhaust, silicone hoses, weber single choke carburettor, rear brakes, a strong Malbrad clutch, side badges, reversing light, rear shock absorbers, near side ball joints and totally reupholstered seats to the original specification amongst other things.
