1987 RD350LC YPVS freshly restored in 2021/ 22 - I purchased the bike in early 2023 from an elderly gentleman in his late 70's who restored the bike as a lockdown project. He had a garage full of immaculate old Nortons, BSA's and a couple of early 70's Hondas and wanted to try something different. It's had a fortune in new parts and paint spent on it, powder coated frame etc. The bike was immaculate but he couldn't get it to run properly. I purchased it running but not correctly. The issue turned out to be a broken wire in the loom connecting the ignition unit to the powervalve controller - which took a bit of finding !!! The loom was unwrapped and wire was replaced and the bike immediately ran correctly. This is a UK bike but does not have matching frame and engine numbers.
As can be seen from the photos the bike is in very good condition. There is a massive file of receipts from the restoration including a rebore and new pistons/ rings
The only non standard parts are the Exhausts and front indicators.
In my ownership the bike has been fitted with a brand new set of short can Allspeeds, new chain and sprockets, Hagon fork springs and new tyres - all of them have less than 500 miles on them.
Selling to finance the purchase of a VW camper van - I cant really justify having 7 bikes and one of them has to go. Loved having it but its time to move it on to another enthusiast.
