This is a mk2 Jaguar, 3. 8 litre, B reg 1964, 9000 miles.

It was taken to South Africa around 1990 and brought back to the UK around 2011, which explains the very good condition of it underneath.
It comes with quite a file of paperwork detailing the work done since it's return. Given the registration of GBD917B on it's return, it was originally AKU209B, as detailed in a Jaguar heritage certificate that is part of the paperwork. However, it hasn't got the paperwork to back up all the work done in South Africa, apparently by Classic Restorations between 2006 - 2011, one theory being that the absence of prices on the invoices would obscure the true value of the car from customs officials when it was exported back to the UK. But what the owner did do was have a respected Jaguar specialist, The Carriage Company look over it and give a detailed report which backs up the work done and what it would of cost, the total in excess of 35k. Again this is included in the paperwork file.
I purchased the vehicle in February 2021 from Fisher Performance Ltd, according to the log book, I'm the 3rd owner. This is a very good overall useable iconic classic, with an excellent interior, underside and engine, with very good oil pressure. No wonder that it was a popular choice of bank robbers of the 60's, the 3. 8 litre still has plenty of grunt and sounds superb. It could also make a stylish wedding car. Pictures of the underside added to the picture gallery as requested. Mileage shows 9000, I'm unsure whether this is from when work was carried out in South Africa but that's my thinking.
