Beschreibung

I purchased this gorgeous example of a 1969 VW Beetle after seeing it sat on a driveway close to where I lived , unloved and unused. Each time I drove past, I always commented what a clean example it looked and couldn't understand why it never seemed to move.
Then suddenly, whilst looking through classifieds, I saw this beetle for sale and decided I had to give it the love it obviously deserved and bring it back to life again. I arranged to view it and couldn't wait . Upon close inspection, I was truly amazed at the condition and couldn't believe it. The beetle had a ground up full restoration in 2013, and comes complete with photographic evidence of all the work carried out along with a box file full of invoices totalling over £10k, this being a considerable amount of money in 2013. The underside of the beetle is as clean as the bodywork you see in the pictures. There is absolutely no rot of any description, the usual suspect areas, heater channels, A posts, floors, bumper mounts, spare wheel well are all like new, the inner wings can only be described as mint. As well as the bodywork, the interior has been completely 'modernised' making it a wonderful place to be, being fitted out with beautiful upholstered porsche seats, electric front seats, modern steering column and wheel, heated rear windscreen, heated front windscreen, retro fitted modern head unit, plus alarm and immobiliser and a luxury of central locking. The electrics have been professionally modernised complete with a modern fuse box complete with relays for all the modern electrics.
Also upgraded at the same time were the brakes with the beetle now having disc brakes to front and rear; I've personally had many aircooled cars over the years but never have I had one fitted with brakes like this, they honestly are amazing.
Obviously, being manufactured in 1969, the beetle is tax and mot exempt, although I have recently had the beetle mot'd which it sailed through with no advisories.
I have put a lot of time and effort into this beetle, and although it sailed through its mot, I feel the steering has slight play which needs addressing. I am not a mechanic, just an enthusiast who loves aircooled cars and classic minis. I have actually purchased another steering box and an original beetle steering column, and am willing to pass these onto the new owner should they wish to have them.
Due to how I feel about the steering, I would strongly advise to trailer the beetle to its new home until the steering is checked over, there may be some adjustment that can be made but I will leave this to the new owner.
The registration number displayed on the beetle has recently been put on retention and the beetle is now back on its 1969 'G' registration. I purchased this gorgeous beetlecas I hate seeing cars, especially aircooled and classic minis being unloved. This is an aircooled beetle that is in amazing condition and the new owner will be truly amazed, its a classic beetle with a modern twist done to a very high standard.
