This Jaguar XJR-S is a very rare and sought-after collectable sporting grand tourer. Believed to be one of only 300 of the original 5. 3-litre V12 XJR-S produced, 'and not many remaining'.
The car is in signal red with magnolia trim and red piping leather sports seat's. Full aerodynamic body styling with 15-inch Speedline wheels.
I purchased the car from a Jaguar dealer in 2011 and there have been five previous keepers. ULEZ and loss of garage space is forcing the sale.
First registered in 1989, the car presents well, drives nicely, and always turns heads; however, there are a number of improvements which could be made by an enthusiastic owner, for example the paintwork on the roof and boot top would benefit from a polishing (to remove sun bleaching) and there are a few minor spots of surface rust bubbling on the paint work, the air conditioning and passenger electric door mirror do not work, and there is some cracking to the woodwork. The car is mechanically sound on four newish period tyres. The brakes were overhauled in 2021 and the water pump and battery replaced at a similar time.
The car has 12 months MOT and supplied with its original book pack and tool kit. The car will be sold with the original number plate F139THY.
The car had been chosen for inclusion in a number of car shows and Jaguar time-line presentations including the Millers Oils Jaguar Parade (Windsor Castle) for the Prince Philip Trust Fund.
This is a time warped and largely original rear example of this XJR-S and would certainly suit an investor or collector
MOTs dating back to 1994 and history pack since I've had the car.
2022 Guaranteed insurance value was £24, 000
