Humber Supersnipe 5A engine running
Selling as a friend has a car that he has decided to part with, I have been after it for years.
This car was runner up at 2022 Humber national, I took to Luton Festival of transport in June it won best in the 1960 to 1970 section.
Colour is Royal blue metallic, was bare metalled in 1997 to '98 have many photos, recent club supplied repair panel fitted to front O/ S front wing paint match excellent.
71, 000 original miles with much documentation including all MOTs from 1970 to 2017, though not required car is presently MOT'd with no referrals until May '24.
Many original Rootes options including Borg warner 35 Auto box, (P/ S & P/ B were standard on series 5A cars) has fully reclining front seats, inertia seat belts, over carpets, badge bar and spot lamps, working radiomobile & powered aerial, good condition narrow w/ walls.
Recent new water pump & overhauled alternator, front seat squabs stripped new foam fitted, has an expensive full electronic 123 distributor, brake servo has also been replaced, full stainless steel exhaust system, recent full service.
The original tools still in the cloth bag, jack & starting handle appear unused, all instruments and lighting working including clock.
Car has had a private number plate from new I do not wish to separate it from car.
Have the original air filter, used car during recent heatwave hot starting no problem,
The woodwork is all excellent as is leather apart from one small repair to rear seat.
Have only taken to 4 shows this year picked up two prizes.
