1997 Porsche 993 (911) C2 Cabriolet manual, Varioram.
The car is accident free and HPI clear, it has all its original panels and shows no signs of rust. The exterior is the original Basalt metallic black, which is complemented by the Classic grey interior. The Radio is a modern Blaupunkt Bremen SQR46 with DAB and Bluetooth phone connection. The car is also fitted with a new amp and speakers, all of which look original and in keeping with the 1997 look of the car.
The specification includes. Air conditioning, electric hood, genuine 17 inch cup 2 wheels, leather seats. It is a C16 UK market car.
This car has been subject to a major mechanical overhaul and rebuild over the last couple of years. During that time is has had a full engine rebuild at 119, 394 miles in September 2021, a new clutch and flywheel, a full gearbox rebuild at 126, 000 miles in September 2023, new front dampers and top mounts and various other work. It was Colin Belton’s personal car, Colin is founder of Ninemeister Porsche in Warrington, the renowned 993 and 964 specialists. Ninemeister undertook the above work during Colin’s ownership.
The body presents well, however there are a number of stone chips to the front bumper and some small supermarket type dents here and there.
The interior is nice and everything works as it should do. There is a remote fob that locks/ unlocks the car and sets the factory alarm and mobiliser.
The service book and book pack are present and there is a large file of invoices giving an impressive service history.
The 993 is the last of the air cooled cars and the C2 manual Varioram is considered to be the best of the bunch by many. This is an example that is ready to give another 25 years of trouble free motoring, whilst appreciating in value.
