Description

Very original and clean, less than 15, 000 miles. 2. 4 litre petrol automatic. ULEZ compliant. Full leather, air conditioning, power roof in good working order (glass rear window), tonneau (roof) cover, both keys and dealer keyrings.

Price drop as sale agreed then buyer has since gone silent - dealers can be timewasters too apparently.

One keeper from new to 2022 (was pre-registered, however so two former keepers on V5C). Garaged for most of its life.

Bodywork is almost perfect and I have used clear waxoyl inside rear arches, sills and seams to ensure it is protected where you can't see it.
Current cosmetic issues are factory defect lacquer on front bumper - needs respraying to be right, could maybe be re-lacquered - and a fine scratch on one side which is obvious if you don't polish it well.

Drives as you would expect of a car with such low mileage, interior to match.

Has recent Continental tyres all round, just changed oil and filters.

Only changes to original are:
Upgrade to genuine Chrysler MP3 CD changer head unit (original with car)
Failed original speakers replaced with upgraded Mopar Boston units from a Jeep (exact fit and spec, just nicer build quality).

Private plate showing in some pics and on listing has been removed, it is BF57 UFB.

MOT expired in August, will put it in for one on payment or you can make an offer as is (which is what I accepted before). The PT Cruiser is a moment in car design that will never be forgotten, and the Convertible is a remarkably high-quality conversion - refined and clever, it includes touches like the roll bar which is actually a spoiler so four people can enjoy having the top down. Treat it like a modern '40s or '60s style convertible and it's a delight - the clue is in the name - and the dashboard's body colour paint and clever windscreen framing evokes the cars that inspired the PT Cruiser very effectively.

It returns 36mpg (based on fills, not the US Gallon trip computer) which is better than my 1. 6 Beetle Cabriolet could do, has a large boot, ample rear seat space and is very easy to drive.

Service history (all services by JS Dack - owners of the car and a garage in Norwich).

If it weren't for the incredibly low mileage and original condition, I'd just drive it and enjoy it. As it is, I can't bring myself to - but you might be more pragmatic; for a car in this condition, of this style and personality, I can't think of anything of similar value!
