Thorough check over and full service just completed by Aston specialists, Classic Car Services, ready for the next custodian. This comprised a full engine service with 12 litres of fresh oil, forte engine flush and petrol treatment, new sump drain bolts, both air filters renewed. In addition, both front shock absorbers and top mounts were replaced to ensure the car handles as new. Just over £1, 600 spent.

In the last few years, anything needing attention has been seen to immediately, as detailed below:

Brake system refresh with new discs, pads, flexi-hoses and brake fluid. Completed at 22, 200 miles at a cost of over £1100.

Power steering reservoir and both lower and upper hoses have been replaced with new fluid, new fuel filters, new rear brake hoses, exhaust clamps and wiper blades.

Air Conditioning System refurbishment including new evaporator unit, receiver dryer, condenser and associated seals and AC gas. New radiator assembly and anti-freeze. Completed at 20, 376 miles at a cost of £4, 591.

Replacement rear suspension bushes and uprated ‘Osram Nightbreaker’ headlight bulbs installed.

Twelve new spark plugs and ignition coils, new inlet manifold and throttle housing gaskets, vacuum and breather hose assembly, cam cover gaskets both sides (common failure) Costing £2, 674 at 20, 625 miles.
