This mid-nineties Mercedes-Benz SL320 is an extremely clean example of the increasingly sought after refined convertible cruiser. Powered by a 3. 2-litre straight-six engine producing 228bhp, coupled to a smooth five-speed automatic transmission. The odometer currently indicates just over 74, 000 miles. The car also comes with its factory hard top, protective cover and stand.

This particular SL320 is presented in stunning metallic Azurite Blue and is in good overall condition.

First registered in March 1996, there are six previous keepers on the V5C, one of which was a long term owner of the car and maintained it regardless of cost which is backed up by a comprehensive history file.

The bodywork of this Mercedes is excellent with no signs of rust, all shut lines are flush, body panels are straight and smooth, and the paint finish has retained a deep level of shine. As to be expected with a car of this age, an occasional stone chip can be seen on lower parts of the car, but overall the finish is in excellent condition.

All electrics and hydraulics work as intended, the electric soft top roof is in good condition, with slight age-related wear on a couple of areas. It has also benefited from a recent re-proofing treatment and was recently checked over by TheR129 Co with a new roof ECU purchased for peace of mind. This SL comes fitted with an upgraded set of 18-inch AMG ‘monoblock’ wheels, making it stand out from those fitted with the standard ‘8 hole’ alloys. All are in good condition save for one which has a light kerbing graze.

Interior wise, the beige leather upholstery is in excellent condition. The walnut veneer which accents the dashboard has some very light surface scratches from an over-enthusiastic clean but none detract from the quality of the cabin. This car was also specified with the wood inlays on the steering wheel which make for a nice touch. The specification of this car also features climate control, cruise control, and an aftermarket Kenwood DAB head unit with Bluetooth connectivity. All of the electrics work as they should and there are no warning lights on the dashboard.

The car has been serviced regularly and comes with a comprehensive history file covering previous maintenance, old MOT certificates and recent receipts from vendors such as the SL shop and the R129 Co. Providing the next owner peace of mind that all preventative maintenance has been done and it is a car that can be enjoyed from the outset.

The most recent MOT test was on 8 March 2024 at 74, 010 miles. The tyres all appear to be in good condition.
