For sale is this beautiful 1974 RD250A nut and bolt restored classic. Originally supplied to the American market and then imported to the UK. Now fully registered with the V5 in my name.
The engine has just been fully rebuilt and all crankshaft bearings, mains big ends, con rods little ends, seals, etc have been replaced including a crankshaft balance. The clutch has been replaced for new.
The frame has all been painted, the tank, side covers and headlight parts have also been professionally painted with new decals.
Carburettors have been refurbished with new jets etc fitted.
The rest of the bike has been fully stripped inspected and where needed parts have been changed.
The electrics have been checked out with new points, plugs, condenser's, coils and leads fitted.
The tyres are new and all the chrome work is original and in great condition, there are age related marks on the chrome and the exhausts has a few knocks on them, but as you see in the pictures it looks amazing.
In addition to the above mentioned items lots of other parts have been replaced, but I have only changed them if they were not ok i. e. worn or damaged. These include but not limited to, grips, switches, mirror's seat cover, levers, seals, fuel & oil pipes.......
I have ridden the bike since restoration and now believe it to be set up and running just right, I have covered approximately 75 miles to make sure all is good. The bike starts easily sounds great and pulls really well.
Perfect for someone who wants to love ride and own a classic two stroke. I have advertised at a realistic price, a big saving if you were to buy from a dealer.

The Speedo read 13999 when I got it, obviously that has gone up but it's not really relevant due to the amount of work done. The engine and frame are matching numbers
