The car was completely restored in bodywork, mechanics and interior. It came from a dealer who took it in as a second-hand car in the second half of the 1980s and kept it in an indoor warehouse over the years. It had no rust and was completely repainted in the original Lancia Nero colour. All exterior parts were re-chromed (bumpers, door handles, trim, lettering, mirrors, wheel studs, etc.). The engine was opened up and completely overhauled throughout (new pistons, rings, valves, seats, bearings, clutch, etc.). All 4 brake calipers have also been rebuilt as well as new brake pads, hoses, new master cylinder, rear adjuster + connecting rod. The alternator, carburettors and steering linkages have also been overhauled. The Cromodora wheels are original (no reproductions) and have been regenerated by a specialised centre with a complete cycle of chrome plating and powder coating. New retro pattern tyres. The interior was in excellent condition and although the driver's seat had a small tear in it, I chose to keep it as it was original. The rubber floor mats are also original and in excellent condition. Only the headlining and the carpet carpets have been redone. Original number plates of the time and page booklet, never been radioed and still registered, ready to move on. A car that exudes charm, elegance and sportiness at the same time. I was persuaded to buy it because the car had about 10 to 15 years' use when new and then remained dry for many years. For me, who was planning a complete restoration, it was the perfect project. Honestly, I prefer it even to the more emblazoned first series because it has had many improvements in terms of dynamics and chassis (less deformable steel body, better suspension, increased braking system, 5-speed gearbox etc....).
