Beschreibung
I am selling a 1974 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce 2000 - a timeless classic that embodies the essence of Italian automotive excellence. The name "Veloce" says it all, and it's a name that resonates with enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike.
The engine is just brilliant with two Dellorto carburettors (European version). It was completely overhauled in 2016 when I purchased it, and a tune-up was performed in April 2023. Upon acquisition, I installed a new radiator, air filter, fuel filter, oil filter, water pump, fuel pump, spark plugs, alternator, and a new starter.
I restored the body, eliminating any trace of rust, which was minimal and mainly in the lower parts of the doors. The restoration involved taking the body down to bare metal and welding new sheet panels, avoiding the use of putty to mask imperfections but addressing the root cause. Subsequently, it was painted in the original colour. The car's undercarriage was coated with anti-gravel paint for enhanced protection. The car bodywork is currently in pristine condition.
The interior is very well kept in 100% original state. The softop was in a fair condition when I bought it, but I bought a brand new one to match the perfect bodywork state.
As confirmed by Mr. Marco Fazio from Centro Storico Alfa, her journey began in Italy, where she was born on the 20th of May in 1974. From there, she embarked on a picturesque adventure, spending most of her life basking in the scenic landscapes of France before making her way to the vibrant streets of Barcelona via the charming roads of Andorra.
The car is equipped with a new set of Vredestein Giugiaro classic tires. In 1977, MotorSport UK had already recognized this extraordinary car as "a collector's piece still available new off the shelf." Today, decades later, that statement still rings true. This 1974 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce 2000 remains a true masterpiece, ready to grace your collection or become the centerpiece of your driving adventures. As an added assurance of its authenticity and pedigree, this car was issued a prestigious FIVA (the Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens) card, currently expired. The previous owner also registered the car for various FIA historic regularity rallies. The car was registered by myself as a historical vehicle in Spain (full report available in Spanish by Autolab?s engineers). Extensive invoices and documents can be traced, chronicling her journey through France, Andorra, and Spain. But, as life evolves, the reason for selling this automotive legend is a heartfelt one. With very young kids, I no longer have the time to drive her as much as she truly deserves. It's time for a new owner to continue the legacy and ensure that this classic Alfa Romeo continues to captivate hearts on the open road.
We can arrange viewings in Barcelona, Spain.
