1925 Austin 20/ 4 Open Tourer with three full covers and side screens.
This is a MASSIVE** heavy touring car, huge girder chassis with original bodywork by Austin. Imported from Australia some years ago after a full restoration. Starts on the button. Excellent leatherwork. Excellent tyres (21" steel artillery wheels in matching Kingfisher Blue).
Sole reason for regretful sale : Can't accommodate in standard garage (currently dry garaged nearby). Would swop for smaller TOURER of similar era and condition. A Perfect wedding car - its HUGE and once had 7 seats (2 removed). ** Each cylinder is 900cc, this is a MASSIVE low reving engine with a huge crash-gate gearbox. VAR memberAs a VAR club member, we searched their current magazines, but eventaully WE bought this beautiful and fabulous but massive tourer. Even after two visits, measuring length and width we THOUGHT(?) it would fit or garages. 2 days of clearing and major structural work, after many trials, it is very impracticable for entry & exit and parking up alone. We would not recommend an open-air drive and cover 1/ a suitable weather proff cover would costs £1000's 2/ The condition is fabulous and really needs dry storage.
