MERLIN 350 1988 TRIALS BIKE , Very rare bike on these shores,
This trials bike came standard fitted with the cagiva 350 engine which is bullet proof.
A bike for all you Eddie Lejeune wannabies, and no where near as boring as the gutless RTLS that people seem to crave about,
A real eye catching bike with its 3 spoke wheels.
This bike can be ridden straightaway , its been in my garage for most of the last 5 years with just the occasional summer outing,
Ive checked the bike over, fitted a new chain air filter swing arm protector a few other bits in its lifetime.
As you can see it is a completely original and clean bike , all the plastics are exceptional for its age, none cracked or split, even the fenders are intact, of course its 35 years dont expect a show pony , but remarkable condition, the sump is virtually unmarked and the previous owner only used it on his farm thus no big section damage.
The rims are true/ and can take tubeless if required, its got a good set of tyres plenty good enough for starting out. starts lovely and runs well in all gears, fork sliders are near perfect. carburation is pretty much spot on.
Pretty sure the engine type from cagiva was sold to other manufactures also, and it is so unbreakable it was also used for army bike production,
The discs and calipers are like new,
No deep gauges to the fork bottoms and just very minor imperfections to the exhaust, which is quite a feat of engineering on this model, the frame number is intact and original together with the alloy frame label also stating the date, the side stand is bit ugly but folds away nicely and it has a small tear to the seat, the bike is not registered.

Rare bike in very nice condition, and as its all original you could if desired really turn into new condition again, not going to be used so its got to go, pleas see all the photos, as soon as the bike is sold it will be removed, if you are reading this advert then it is for sale simple as that, south west bath area.
