I am reluctantly parting ways with 'Lulu,' a cherished member of our family for over a decade, having previously been owned by a Roman lady who was the vehicle's first owner. This T2 Volkswagen comes with UK documents, retains its original interiors, and operates on both petrol and LPG.
The driver's seat is positioned on the left-hand side, and with its high roof, 'Lulu' offers a unique and comfortable driving experience. Throughout the years, we've diligently replaced necessary components such as brakes, steering arms, engine belts, window rubber seals, engine rubber seals, injection parts, and the starting motor.
Stored in a dry and monitored barn for the past three years, 'Lulu' made a remarkable journey from Sicily to the UK before enjoying a well-deserved rest. The last MOT was conducted upon its arrival in the UK in 2018.
While the electric system requires some attention and the engine bay displays signs of rust, 'Lulu' remains in overall good condition. The petrol gauge needs fixing, but these are minor issues considering its history of successful long trips, including the recent voyage from Italy to the UK and multiple excursions to Cornwall.
The price is negotiable
Lulu is a captivating classic, an absolute delight to own and take on journeys. A few years back, I managed to persuade my father not to part ways with it, granting me the opportunity to fulfill my dream of embracing the van life.
Its striking bright orange exterior not only makes it stand out but also ensures unparalleled visibility. The distinctive sound of the engine is a symphony that can be recognized from miles away, adding to the charm of every adventure.
Thanks to its high roof, Lulu provides the luxury of standing tall inside and moving with unrestricted ease. This feature transforms it into the perfect companion for spontaneous weekend getaways as well as epic long-distance escapades. Lulu is more than just a vehicle; it's a timeless piece that embodies both style and functionality, making every journey a memorable experience.
