Description
Jensen interceptor S4, 1987.
It is no. 3/ 11 out of a total of 14 S4s, and one out of a total of 3 left-hand drive convertibles. The reason it’s 3/ 11 is that it managed to have both frame no. 3 and no. 11 at the factory before it was completed.
It was originally sold to King Fahd of Saudi Arabia. The king bought 2 cars, one with chassis number 8 and this car. The one with chassis number 8 was a saloon that was sent directly to Saudi Arabia. Since then no one has heard nor seen the car.
This car was delivered to the king on border plates, after which his son the Prince, drove it from Birmingham England to Lyon in France. Here the car was parked at Lyon Airport and the prince flew on. The car sat here for 12 years, with a total of 1440 km on the odometer, until a man named Stephen Norman (Director of the importer of Fiat in France) after countless emails was allowed to buy the car by the King.
Conditions from the King for a sale, were an undisclosed price and the payment of 12 years of parking charges.
Stephen Norman had the car fixed so that it was like new again, and managed to drive about 3800 km before he sold the car on February 15th 2004 to a Danish CEO named Fritz Jensen and his wife Inge Jensen (my parents).
They went to France themselves and drove it home, the trip took about 12 hours and was without problems. It was then inspected and registered on Danish plates with only 7000 km on the odometer.
I took over the car on February 5th 2022 with 24, 000 km on the odometer after my father's death.
I am attaching some pictures of the car as well as a video from the day in 2022 when i acquired it.
I have lots of personal stories that have taken place while my parents had it as well as a lot of history on the car, including why it had two chassis numbers from the factory. If it may be of interest, a test ride is not possible in the Danish winter.
