Sherwood Green / Oatmeal Leather interior
This is my own car, I have owned it since June 2021. The log book is in my name and address which is where the car can be viewed.
Only selling as I now need a car that I can load large items into.
Low mileage for the age of car, 116, 000.
All common and known faults have been addressed ie;
new timing chain tensioners,
door window drop sorted,
window trims replaced,
alarm fault fixed,
dashboard does not creek,
ABS sensors all done.
Does not lose oil or coolant.
No engine or fault warning lights coming on.
These are all common faults and it’s hard to find an XK8 without some or all of these,
but I have had them all fixed.
I’ve also had;
new tyres fitted recently,
new spark plugs,
new rear wheel arches and sills fitted by top renowned body shop which was done so well that even Jaguar main dealer had a close look and thought they were still original.
Drives beautifully. The few mechanics that have driven this car have all remarked on how smooth it is, how nice it sounds and how responsive it is above many other XK’s of this era.
Excluding what I paid for the car, I have also spent nearly £5, 500 on the above repairs.
I have kept a list and receipts of everything I’ve had done. Plus there is some previous service history.
Looking through the history, this has always been a low mileage car. The previous owner lived near Watford and worked at Heathrow but did “car sharing” with a colleague so it was only used every other week and mainly motorway.
Interior is in great condition with only the start of minor leather cracking to the drivers seat (easily remedied) and actually looks fine as is, just mentioned for accuracy.
Bodywork and paint are in super condition, obviously not without the odd small blemishes (again just mentioning) which are just feint bush scratches here and there from our country lane, you have to really look for them to see them. There are certainly no dings nor dents nor rotten rusty bits.
This is a smart looking car.
Genuine, straight and un-molested. All original spec.
It still gets admiring looks and comments.
Sherwood Green looks like British Racing Green but because it’s metallic, Jaguar call it Sherwood. Everyone thinks it’s BRG. It even has a lovely hint of metallic blue in certain light and really gets people talking.
This car can return 30+MPG if you’re not too heavy footed all the time.
It is insurance group 37E but can be insured as a classic, I pay just over £180 per year with unlimited mileage!
12 months Tax is £395, but will be TAX EXEMPT in two years time.
And remember, it’s ULEZ Compliant so it’s pretty cheap motoring for a four litre Jag!
Will have a new MOT for the buyer once sold.
