Lovely original and unmolested 2. 6 V6 Auto Omega CD that has been owned by an elderly local lady since 2011. It has a full service history, initially from Vauxhall and later from our own family run garage (since 2012 when it had covered just 42000 miles).
Mechanically it is in very good order and the engine doesn't smoke or use any oil or coolant between services. It's very smooth and the automatic transmission changes up and down perfectly. The interior is in exceptional condition (apart from the latch on the centre console armrest storage) and everything works as it should including the air conditioning / climate control and heated front seats. There are no warning lights on and the dashboard displays have no dead pixels. It has had no modifications apart from a set of rear parking sensors were installed in 2021 and features a remote distance display that plugs into the 12v socket.
The bodywork and paint is generally very good apart from some bumper scuffs, but both of the rear wheel arches are corroding and although seem solid enough, would benefit from some repair and paintwork which is of course reflected in the asking price.
The mileage is currently just under 87000 and the last MOT test required some new brake pads and the replacement of a rusty brake pipe. The two front tyres were advised as worn but these have just been replaced. We've also just fittd a new pair of front shock absorbers. Much maintenance has been carried out over the years including a new pair of exhausts, steering tie rods, battery, water pump, both valve cover gaskets, ignition coils and the alternator. I have been driving the car since late November 2023 as I bought it from our customer to drive whilst my own BMW was being repaired. I have to say that I've rather fallen in love with it and would love to keep it but don't have the space or need for more cars.
According to the website howmanyleft. co. uk here are only a couple of this 2002 V6 CD model left on UK roads and it's certainly a very rare car. Some Omegas are being advertised at crazy prices (£5000+) so even allowing a few hundred quid to have the bodywork sorted on this one it's a great value 21 year old cruiser!
It has all of the original handbook pack present with stamped service book, audio manual, radio code card and a decent spare wheel and tyre in the boot. There is only 1 (fully working) remote key.
IT would make a great daily driver and is even ULEZ compliant if you happen to drive into mayor Khan's territory!
