Description

Porsche Swb 912/ 6 Turbo manufactured for Italian market in October 1966 sold in Bologna on 1 January 1967 model year original colour silver metallic with sunroof. Currently has a 1991 964 Turbo M30/ 69 cased engine completely built with lightweight Carrillo Conrods, JE 97mm pistons, Mahle barrels, Titanium parts, Heads redone and Porsche agent valves, guides, 996 turbo oil pump, timing chains, sprockets and a lightweight Clewett engineering oil scavenge pump with ref sensor so engine runs distributerless, lightweight fuel rail, rc injection, bigger T27 turbo, Kokeln racing intercooler, Tial wastegate. 930 4 speed. 964 RS front calipers and disks. 964 turbo oil cooler and fan in front arch. Stainless exhaust. Motec M84 ECU system installed by Colin at Ctr Developments. Engine engineering by Nick Full James of Redtek. This engine is the lightest 3. 3 turbo in the country and maybe the fastest SWB. Dave at EPS Motorsports tuned it and Dyno it at 415hp and 402 lbs/ ft torque. Engine is not complicated like the factory one with loads of pressure sensors etc, just ref and sync sensor, air temp, lambda, oil temp and pressure and map sensor that's it, the motec ecu also shows all internal voltages currently and what they should be. Lots of programmable features one nice one is cranking revolutions x10 so when you crank the engine over it's at 2k revs, lots of settings like fueling on overrun which not tried. Engine cost 25k to build, plus 15k for the rest, have receipts for the above work all done under my ownership, also new rear wheel bearings, brakes, disks, new front tyres. It's very fast and shoots the occasional flame and bang. Petrol wise it's uses about £50 going from Poole to London 150 miles and that's having fun with the boost. The torque is superb. Engine is just about run in 2k Kms. Driven a 2, 7 73 on carbs and a 2. 7mfi 73 and they are fun but on the open roads this 3, 3 turbo is quite enthralling and dramatic. Walk around video now on YouTube. Amazing paint work high gloss, engine sound.
