A well loved and much appreciated Mercedes Benz W126 300SE in Smoke Silver with a lovely burgundy velour interior. Featuring the super smooth 2962cc M103 series straight six and automatic gearbox. We have had the sedan serviced regularly by a reputable local independent garage and include a collection of bills to confirm. The car drives and performs very well with no issues at all, always starting on the button, the gears shift well and the car returns decent mpg. Brakes are all good, with fully functioning ABS. All brake lines were refreshed this year. The interior has stood up remarkably well to the toddlers and teenagers and is in good condition. All electrics function as designed including windows, sunroof, mirror, and the adjustable front seats. Bodywork is in decent condition, the all important bumper chrome trims are present and in excellent condition. Wheels are generally fine having been refurbished in the past and just now showing first signs of wear on the nearside front. It has a valid MOT until 17/ 09/ 2024 and current mileage of 165922. Prior to our ownership serious attention and care was given to this vehicle having the rear window seal refreshed which has saved this particular car from a common problem. We have a fat file of bills and receipts which make for interesting reading. Unfortunately this winter has seen an ingress of water into the front passenger footwell. Investigation shows that the nearside drain had perished and there is rot apparent in the area of the scuttle. This will need to be addressed and we have ordered a new rubber drain*. The vehicle is currently dry and under cover. All manuals and service booklets are present including a very comprehensive Mercedes service manual and the original options card. We have three keys, including the original wallet and valet keys. It has a modernish Sony head unit with remote installed which is handy as it has bluetooth connectivity. For the purists however we are happy to say that the original Blaupunkt unit is still in our possession and will come with the car. It also has tow bar fitted with fully working electrics that were refreshed last year as the car was used to tow a race motorcycle a couple of times but would be equally as happy with a trailer tent. I also have a pair of roof bars that have come in handy on occasion (see history)

** Drain now fitted, which has improved the situation a lot although there is still an area of rot to be addressedWe have owned this fine car for over twelve years and it has done us proud as a daily family driver doing everything from school drops to supermarket runs, family outings to Goodwood, holidays to the South of France and trips to the race track. In it's time it has also had a large dining table and a full sized Canadian canoe on the roof. This car gets real admiration from all directions and is a relaxing drive.
