Description
Land rover series 2 Rare One piece door model (Canadian market spec) built late December 58 and registered 1st January 1959 2 1/ 4 diesel. Previously owned by other club members before me probably well known to other club members on here, comes with a extensive history file including all the previous owners names and address.
-Marsland galvanised chassis fitted a while ago.
- mechanical very good and reliable
-original bulkhead which has had work in the past including new footwells but does require some work to the A pillars at the bottom but the main structure is very good also has the original bakelite twist vent knobs.
-original rare one piece doors that require some work to keep it original
-rear cat flap in good condition no corrosion
-fairey overdrive (very quiet and smooth)
-gearbox and transfer box were rebuilt by previous owner again very smooth and quiet
-AVM freewheeling hubs
-Refurbished axles including new shocks all-round, new copper brake hoses and wheel cylinders
-2 new front leaf springs including black poly bushes fitted
-original Landrover rare metal sun visor
-stainless steel exhaust system
-new heavy duty 3. 5mm yrm rear floor and all new galvanised braces and supports
-like new later defender tubeless wheels with very good Michelin tyres.
-galvanised roof rack and ladder
-period correct rear mudflaps
-good front seats no tears or rips
-original grey paintwork inside the cockpit around the seat box and floors
lots of work has been carried out to the Landrover over my 4 year ownership , my intentions were to paint it back to its original colour of grey like on the inside but have never got round to it.
I would like it to go back to someone in the club to appreciate its rareness.
The Landrover is located in storage in Todmorden West Yorkshire, but I'm currently living in Driffield East Yorkshire but I'm willing to travel down to show genuine buyers around the Landrover.
