For Sale:
1996 Ford Fiesta ‘Si’ 1. 25 Manual
Good bits:
* 1. 25 Si Manual
* Just under 48, 000 miles
* 1 owner from new before I purchased the car.
* MOT February 2025
* Very clean and tidy
* Runs and drives superb
* Completely original and never been messed with
Not so good bits:
* Bonnet has had a DIY repair to a stone chip which was sanded down by the previous owner and hasn’t been done very well, this has left it a bit dull on one side compared to the rest of the bonnet - I’ve tried to capture it in the photos but it doesn’t show up very well. In my opinion, it doesn’t detract from the rest of the car but if you’re fussy then you’d probably want it repainted.
* The car has had 2 bits of welding carried out to the rear sill ends, this has been done to a decent standard with the rust being cut out and new metal welded in, apart from these 2 repairs, it’s never been welded anywhere else and doesn’t need any.
This Fiesta has covered nearly 48, 000 miles, has always been garaged and prior to me buying it, has had just 1 owner from new.
It has just been MOT’d which now runs until February 2025 and it absolutely sailed through with no advisories.
With myself being an enthusiast of this particular model of Fiesta, I was asked if I was interested in purchasing it by the original owner, who is a family friend - he decided it was time to hang up his driving gloves and I ended up purchasing it from him but I believe it’s just too good to be sat outside in the elements as I don’t have a garage or storage and it’d be a shame to ruin it.
The Fiesta has a fully stamped history which is in the original Ford Service Manual up until 2019 with invoices detailing work from then onwards. the original bill of sale which had 2 optional extras added that comprise of a Passenger Airbag and Alloy Wheels, 4 keys, 1 of those being the red master key, supplying dealer number plates (Whites Brothers, Taunton) and also supplying dealer key rings.
I also have a diary going back to when the Fiesta was collected from new back in 1996 detailing every time that fuel was added, how many litres was put in and how much it cost along with the mileage at the time.
Being an Si, it comes with a sunroof, front fogs, white speedometer inc rev counter, mudflaps all round and a love it or hate it style of interior which is only found on the ‘Si’ spec and also 14” Alloys (mentioned above)
The Fiesta drives extremely well, as expected from a car that’s covered just under 48, 000 miles and has never been abused, modified or messed around with. The interior is very clean and tidy, the rear seats have never been sat in.
Ideally needs to go to a collector who will leave it factory standard as it really is too good to mess around with.
Please bare in mind that this is a completely original unrestored car and whilst it’s a very clean and tidy example for its age, there’s obviously going to be some imperfections which I’m sure is expected - I’ve tried to list everything relevant as there’s nothing worse than being mislead and turning up to see something that isn’t as described. If you’re genuinely interested and require any info or photos of specific areas of the car then I’m happy to do this.
Any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
