ORIGINAL PURCHASE: 13/ 01/ 1967 in Kingsport Tennessee by Velma Walton.

According to California Cars, it has only had three previous owners and spent most of its life in California.

Selling because I do not have the time to spend on this car, and it deserves to be driven!

SPEC:
Engine refurbished several years ago and odometer reset. 7250 mileage (approx) since rebuild

-Original onyx black exterior/ red interior (some fading/ deterioration but otherwise great condition)
-All original dials/ fixtures
-289 V8 engine (4. 7l) upgraded with headers, aluminium manifold, MSD ignition, Edelbrock carburetor.
C-4 automatic transmission with 2. 80 differential for cruising.
-Power windows
-Bucket seats
-Power steering
-Upgraded power disc brakes
-Newer bushings, ball joints
-Upgraded modern wiring
-New tires
-New radiator
It appears that at some point in the cars history, it was adapted as a hardtop from a convertible - making it much better suited to British weather.

This summer car has been inspected, serviced and improved by Motorline - classic car specialists.

-Clean + protect underside with Waxoyl treatment
-New high quality battery fitted
-Exhaust aligned
-New handbrake cable fitted
-Horn rewired
-Cooling system checked/ tightened up
-New washer pump and windscreen wipers, system checked
-Carburettor adjusted
-New MSD coil
-Sealed beam headlights replaced with unsealed housings and wired for standard h1 bulbs
- Power steering pump replaced
- Alternator rebuilt with new belts
- Battery isolator added (manual)This Comet has been my dream car for a long time - it's a real showstopper and has been incredibly well looked after. The black and red colour combo is a classic and the original features look great. I tried to track down the original owner/ her family - thanks to the original handbook - but had no luck. Apparently the car had been in their family for generations.

The car sounds amazing and is a smooth drive.
