For sale is my 1973 Peugeot 304 S Cabriolet. The car is on a genuine 30, 000 miles and was bought for a 40th birthday present for a lady when it was new. She kept the car for almost forty years until it was put into her daughter’s name, and then my son bought it from them nearly five years ago. I then bought the car from him, so it is showing 3 previous owners.
The car has to be one of the best 304s in the country, having always been garaged there is no rust on the car. It drives excellent as to be expected for the mileage. We have owned 15 of these 304s and have never seen one like this before. The underneath is solid, we have a pit in our garage so you can properly see this for yourself. The interior is pretty much immaculate, but unfortunately the drivers seat base has wear. There are sheepskin seat covers which hide this however.
It has the original cassette player with an A pillar mounted aerial and door speakers which were an optional extra, as well as a tonneau cover which covers the entire cabin with the headrests removed, or just the passenger seat as it can be unzipped halfway. This is an original Peugeot accessory as confirmed from a brochure! The roof is in very good condition, as are all the interior trims such as gearstick surround, carpets and boot trims which are hard to find complete.
There are old MOTs from the past 30 years to back up the mileage, as well as the owners handbook. This is such a rare car, let alone in this condition and it can only go up in value. MOT and tax exempt however it was MOTed in June 2023 and passed with no advisories. Genuine reason for sale, car is located near Portsmouth, 15 miles from Goodwood. 1 owner for almost 40 years, solid car, drives very well, museum worthy!
