MINI COOPER S.
Owned since 2012. Major refurbishment in 2020/ 1. It retains the unique Mk3 S components including correct 12g1805 cylinder head, thick wall engine block with tappet chests, 22g 1128 gearbox, drive shafts with bump’s, gearshift remote control, outside bonnet pull, roof gutter drain slots, twin tanks, navy blue seats and trim, 130mph speedo.
I bought the car in 2012 at 400 mls following a full restoration by P&L Mini’s. This was apparently Paul’s car, used for filming the Mini 50th celebrations in 2010 and to showcase there restorations. It was built with 6” alloy wheels, big brakes, coil spring conversion, wheel arches and lots of lights and stainless steel bits, painted blue with white England roof flag and giant 50’s on the doors!
Over the years the mileage has grown to 10000 mls with less than 1000 mls since 2021. I have corrected the spec to bring it back to original including original size brakes, steel wheels, correct Navy blue interior and Glacier white body colour as it was originally built.
Full engine rebuild including cylinder head converted to unleaded. Gearbox rebuilt including new syncro’s.
This is a great drivers car, the engine and gearbox are faultless.
It does not have Hydrolastic suspension but is greatly improved with the P&L spring conversion kit. It probably won’t suit rivet counters and I have priced it accordingly. I have the Heritage certificate.
I am taking it to the 21st April Scramble at Bicester Heritage so come and have a look and a chat.
