BSA B21 was only made for 3 years I think, and being OHV is quite an interesting thing. Non transferable reg.
My first girder machine I’ve had it around five years. The machine is in good condition, polishes up nicely. Girders are in good condition the links are not worn thin, it tracks straight. Sidestand, nice levers, toolbox etc The mag was reconditioned in 2018, ticks over nice and slow once warmed up and retarded. New battery back in the autumn 6 volt, dynamo charges nicely. 4 speed hand gear change is good fun. I’ve got the tank pad backing plates but no rubbers. Physically not a large machine, typically of the period. I’m 5’6” and fit it well. It starts, stops and goes well, it roots along nicely. Like all pre war machines it’s incredibly rewarding to ride to get everything right to get along the road well. But do bear in mind it is over 80 years old so whilst it needs using it needs treating with a bit of mechanical sympathy. Selling as I don’t use it enough and with insurance etc escalating I’m trying to be sensible and trim down the collection. Open to offers.
I bought it from Southampton from a from a a chap whose uncle had owned the bike on Dartmoor and had left it to the family on his passing. I bought it as my first girder machine and it’s been nothing but a joy to own and use. It looks good on the stand and stands out with the hand gear change. This only adds to the immersive experience of being able to get the old thing down the road well. I love the pre war kit for this reason any time spent out with this is total escapism. True smiles per mile.
