Description
My super rare Gilera RC600 Enduro/ Adventure is in good mechanical condition, having had a full run through when I bought it 2 years ago, including new cam belts, cam belt pulley bearings, carb refresh and oil/ filters, brake pads etc.
I have put on less than 1000 miles in the past 2 years, so she is up for sale.
Cosmetically, the paintwork has faded and crackled, and there is some surface corrosion, it would benefit from a bit of attention to make it look stunning again. Plastic parts are not cracked or broken.
electric and kick start
new battery and new thermo switch fitted recently
MOT until 27/ 10/ 2024
V5 in my name
32, 000 kilometres ( just under 20, 000 miles )
Model History
The Gilera RC600 Enduro is a very rare and characterful Italian enduro/ Dakar motorcycle; the works-entered RC600Rs dominated the 1991 and 1992 600cc-class of the Paris-Dakar, leading Gilera to build a road going version for general sale.
It is powered by a 558cc water-cooled four-valve single-cylinder engine featuring belt-driven overhead camshafts, which produced 48bhp and is housed in a single-cradle frame.
Shares parts with the Gilera Nordwest, so parts available. this bike makes a great lightweight adventure/ back roads bike, and with knobbly tyres can also handle an easy green lane. great for taller riders like myself that appreciate the upright seating position and leg room. A rare bike that always gets attention.
