1972 Triumph Tiger oil in frame. Nut and bolt complete rebuild with bills for over £9000. American import with rebuild by previous owner and with all the correct paperwork. Matching engine and frame numbers which have been authenticated by Triumph owners club. Smaller American petrol tank which is aesthetically more pleasing than breadbox style. Also pea shooter silencers. Pale blue and cream and correct in all details. A lovely looking bike whose pictures (including some of the detail of rebuild) show its quality and which is ready to ride. I am five feet seven and can place my feet on the ground without a problem. More pictures and paperwork on request. Reluctant sale due to illness.
The Tiger has a lovely flexible engine and with the conical hubs and naked forks is a classical looking bike as well as handling well. The single carburettor makes it easier to drive and maintain compared with the Bonneville. Built and initially exported in February 1972 and then imported 2020 with all supporting documents and registered through DVLA.
It looks as a motorbike should and the colour and style plus the lovely sound from the peashooter silencers makes it a classic machine for summer riding. There is nothing to do to the bike except ride it and enjoy it.
