Since purchasing the car in November 2022, it has had:
- Welding to the passenger sill
- Centre brake pipes
- Front discs and pads
- New windscreen
- Welding to the exhaust
- Offside rear wheel bearing
- New thermostat and coolant flush
- Reconditioned alternator and new belts
- New offside front brake calliper
- New lower control arms
- New nearside inner track rod and track rod end
- Been serviced twice since I bought it
It has been a good car during my ownership, but it has developed some issues that need addressing:
- Crankshaft pulley is squeaking
- Needs a pair of rear tyres
- Whirring/ vibration under heavy braking
- Clunk from the rear suspension
- Steering wheel wobble over 60mph
- Due a service
- The usual E46 bubbles of rust on the arches
I've spent a decent chunk of money maintaining this car, but I've now decided to replace it rather than commit to the rest of the repairs myself.
I will say that the tyres and suspension have caused it to have some interesting handling characteristics, but I'd like it to go to someone who will fix these issues and continue to enjoy it.
