Fully & extensively restored 1977 Triumph spitfire 1500. Full chassis up nut n bolt methodical restoration to this ever popular little classic sports car. Period correct with many original parts (5 years work) not a single metric nut or bolt was used Completely solid rust free car. BODY; tub seems to have never been welded under side is in as good condition as the rest of the car with thin coats of high quality spray on underseal. doors are also totaly clean of rust with solid bottoms bonnet was fabricated using new lower wings front panel & wheel arches with original main top panel. Boot has been fabricated & shaped with fresh metal in the corners. Fully restored factory steel hard top with new liner seals etc All finished in a lovely Ferrari roso mondeal (red) 2k paint job. ENGINE: Fully re-built with new pistons main big end & thrust bearings crank polished block re-bored plus +40 & decked. Head decked new valves & bronze guides new collets & double valve springs hardened seats for unleaded fuel new rocker rail cam chain & sprockets. Su carbs re-built & professionaly balanced with ethanol freindly hoses. GEAR BOX: rebuilt with any worn gears replaced & coupled to the desirable J type overdrive unit (3rd & 4th) making for pleasant top end speed keeping up with modern traffic. DIFF: stripped & inspected re-built with new seals & doesn't wine coupled to gear box with new propshaft & high quality UJ's. BRAKEING SYSTEM is all new calipers discs slave cyclenders master cylinder all new lines & fittings same goes for clutch which has new clutch as well. SUSPENSION; arms have been powder coated & are 90% poly bushed new leaf spring & shocks. INTERIOR; seats have new webbing foams & covers with restored frames very nice tight plump & comfortable. Fully moulded Newton Commercial carpet with sound deadening floor covering new door cards & rear card. Dash & clocks all restored with wood rim steering wheel (I have original as well) correctly run in & had two lots of fresh castrol oil. This car completed an unsupported 1000 mile road trip round southern England visiting Peak District, Molvern Hills, Bath & all over Cornwall providing one of the best holidays ever & proving this car was built well & is reliable. So if your after one of the best Spitfires out there & want as close to a new one as possible then this car is for you !! It would stand proud at any car show & Would slot nicely into any collection.
