Description
Believed to be one of only 250 soft top Wolf XD FFR 90's built for the British Military. Incredibly, this stunning example has only covered 20, 000 kms (12, 000 miles) from new, and has clearly led a very easy life as a comms vehicle. It also benefits from having the REMUS upgrade, which included - full roll over protection, front and rear anti vibration acoustic matting, and Dinitrol wax sealing of the chassis and bulkhead. A Wolf XD is not your normal everyday Defender by any stretch of the imagination. Upgrades over the standard Defender included - strengthened chassis, uprated load bed, uprated axles, uprated shocks and springs, gearbox cooling radiator, strengthened bulkhead, steering guard, side mounted spare wheel, plus many other items too numerous to list. The FFR soft top variants also came with a double layer insulating hood with the RadHaz internal layer. Included in the history file is a Heritage Certificate and its military history log. The clutch and gears are exceptionally light, and a real pleasure to use compared to your average Defender. The drivetrain feels super tight and smooth, as a Defender with 12, 000 miles on the clock should. There's not a hint of rust anywhere at all on the chassis. Rumour has it, the military won't be releasing anymore of their low mileage Defenders. Mileage may increase slightly as the vehicle is being used on occasion...
