For sale is my wonderful Jaguar XK8 finished in British Racing Green, which has covered just under 112k miles. I have owned the car for just over a year and it has been great, it runs extremely well with no unwanted noises or leaks. It is a reluctant sale, but I have too many other cars that require my time and effort. In my ownership I have replaced and fitted the following parts:
New Aluminium thermostat housing
New Coolant hoses
New Battery
Alternator
Both front lower suspension bushes
New steering rack gaiters
Coolant flush and refill
New wiper blades
New coolant level sensor
Tracking has been done
Oil and filter change
Additionally, prior to my ownership, the Timing Chain and Timing Chain Tensioners were replaced and upgraded to the later metal type so there is no need to worry about having this done - which was one of the main reasons I bought the car! I also believe that it has an aftermarket exhaust on the car, or at least just the rear section, which appears to be a stainless system which definitely allows the V8 rumble to be heard!
It appears to have a Jaguar style (ish!) private plate which came with the car when I bought it. This is included with the sale, probably worth a bit on its own.
Mechanically, the car is great and the bodywork is good too. Although it was highlighted on the recent MOT about corrosion to the rear subframe, the garage who completed it have reassured me that it is only minor and could just do with having the surface rust removed and metal treated with under-seal. They deal in a lot of Jaguar XK8s themself, and praised the condition of mine.
If I was keeping the car I would replace all 4 tyres. They are not low on tread, but are old and starting to perish on the edges. I would have the subframe corrosion treated, but other than that, this is great example to buy just in time for summer. It is also worth noting that there is a slight tear in the front passenger seat bolster.
I think that I have priced the car very fairly given the condition and work that has been completed. Please do not make silly offers. I welcome any viewings!
