1968 Volkswagen 1500

Here is my beautiful Beetle!
She's rather wonderful and dates to 1968 and is presented in really lovely overall order.
Rare 1500 engine – very quick!

She's been extremely well looked after and pampered!
Recent work include a replacement engine in 2020 from VW specialist – The Engine Centre in Kent and a new gearbox fitted in 2023 by Air Cooled VW in Lincolnshire.
£3500 spent on it in the last year alone.
Lots of history and documents, old MOTs etc

Full service in 2023 and MOT last year passed until Feb 2024 with no advisories. I’ve looked after her really well as did the previous owner.

She's generally in really lovely condition. There is some pitting to chrome on headlight bezels and the chrome bumper. No welding been done or needed and rock solid underneath. No issues at all.

As well as the new engine and gearbox other work and new parts and work include:
Dynamo, exhaust and clutch kit
New ignition leads
New Carb
New electronic distributor and coil
Fuel lines replaced
New front and rear shocks

She really is a beauty and the VW specialist who has been looking after her for the past 15 months has said she is as solid as any Beetle he has seen.
I’ve only had it 15 months but it’s driven every day and has never let me down.
I’m only selling\swapping as me and my daughter are planning to go around the country this Summer before she goes to Uni and the Beetle isn’t big enough!
