1972 MG Midget

Beautiful 1972 MG Midget 1275 RWA has only covered 19380 miles since its engine was rebuilt in 1998, the car was also restored in the 90's with photos of the restoration and a file full of receipts. The MG was originally registered with a Northern Ireland number plate from new and issued an N registered plate on its return to the mainland in 1975. In 2011 it was given a new registration with its correct year of manufacture of 1972. This is all documented and all certificates and DVLA forms confirming this are included.

In December 1998 the engine underwent the OSELLI Fast Road Stage 2 upgrade with all receipts and documentation included. Since the engine was rebuilt and reconditioned to 1293cc the car has still only covered 19380 miles.

I've owned this MG for 9 years and it has been an absolute pleasure but health issues are now forcing the sale. Since purchase I have only covered 2000 miles. I have just put it through a voluntary MOT (it is of course now exempt) which she passed with an advisory of slight lift in both front Kingpins.

The hood is in reasonable condition, please see pics and also comes with a hardtop which is again in reasonable condition for the year (pics show bad bits and slight damage), a full Tonneau cover is included which is in good condition although a little faded. Paintwork is beautiful with very few blemishes. Body panels are superb, please see pics. The fuel gauge is a bit intermittent and sometimes shows zero but everything else works as it should. First gear does of course whine like all original Midget gearboxes. Chrome is OK but the rear bumpers are a bit pitted. Mechanical inspections welcome.

I looked at loads of MG's (and owned a few others since) before purchasing this one in 2015 and it is by far the best I have seen or driven but please bear in mind this car is now 52 years old. Two sets of keys included and a battery cut out security system. Also has a stereo with an amp in the boot and Kenlowe Fan.
